Human Is Alien

Human is Alien is a multidisciplinary research and artistic project exploring humanity’s complex relationship with nature and its alienation from ecological systems. Triggered by environmental degradation observed in urban spaces, the project asks whether human reliance on technology and overproduction of waste suggests an origin beyond Earth.

The project integrates research in xenoarchaeology, ancient religious practices, and environmental studies to question human evolution and its detachment from natural ecosystems.

The performance features a bamboo architectural installation representing DNA structures and water cycles, used as a projection surface for multimedia storytelling. Touring across Indonesia, the project involved local communities, combining sound art, visual projections, and participatory elements to provoke dialogue on environmental responsibility and humanity’s place within the ecosystem.
